As a small business, we have been proactive in designating significant resources toward ensuring a safe workplace for employees, clients and tenants. We have a comprehensive safety policy available for review.

Daniel Stone, Corporate Safety and Sustainability Manager, is dedicated to ensuring your properties and your tenants remain safe when Florenco work crews are on-site. Daniel frequents all job sites to supervise safety practices.

• Commercial landscape sites are inspected before a job is initiated and reviewed regularly
• Employees wear personal protective equipment when necessary
• Employees operating power equipment are fully trained on the operation and maintenance of the equipment

Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee

In 2016, Florenco formed a Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHS), representing equally, management and employees. The committee, accessible to all employees, meets regularly to address issues plus recommend policies and procedures. The creation of this committee is a proactive step to establish a means of investigating and reporting recommendations following an incident.
